Healing Stones & Amulets assembled and attuned with love By Dr Elizabeth Ann Diamond

What made me start to make Amulets in the form of necklaces, bracelets, anklets & earrings? Well I have been giving out healing stones complete with velvet pouches which I make myself, since the early 1990’s. This is always a gift and I choose the recipients from the people I either come across during my work days or otherwise. Sometimes I feel inspired to send a person a healing stone to help them in their particular circumstances. I have given out hundreds, probably thousands over the years. People seem to love these personally selected healing stones which I cleanse, charge and then hand over with my set of printed recommendations for use.

I work from my office and also my consulting rooms in Weston-super-Mare,
see www.elizabethdiamond@holisticlocal.co.uk for more details. But if I were to give a one word explanation of what I am, I would apply the word Metaphysician. I work with natural remedies and processes and channel healing energies into my work with all healing stones and this activates their properties. I have written seventeen certificated home study courses, details also on the website. I started to make my own jewellery a couple of years ago because I could not find anything that I liked. All I seemed to find was plastic and paste stuff on offer as fashion jewellery so I cast around to find beads etc that were to my liking and then proceeded to make myself brightly coloured necklaces and bracelets. I had not worn any jewellery for many years but now I was ready and I made all types for myself. They seemed to add a sparkle and give me a lift. A friend kept asking how much I charged for them and after nearly a year I decided to give her some to sell in her shop. This started to sell immediately and generate further orders.

As I was making more jewellery the idea of making healing necklaces, bracelets, anklets and maybe even earrings from semi precious stones, fire polished faceted glass beads and beautifully coloured glass beads came to the fore. I told my friend and she ordered the first healing necklace made from Mookaite an Australian Aborigine healing stone, over the phone. I placed an order for more semi-precious stones and have been selling and taking orders wherever I go. I absolutely love working with these stones, and it fills me with joy whilst I design and try out different combinations.

As I work I channel positive energy into the jewellery. I carry out most of this work in my consulting rooms which are south facing and overlook my organic garden, my home craft room or best of all my garden, especially when I can lay out the jewellery in the sun shine, with my three ex racing Greyhounds happily snoozing around me. I sourced some beads made from shell and I am now also making necklaces, bracelets and earrings to incorporate the energies of numbers, numerology, colours and or animals. Most of the necklaces and bracelets are strung on nylon coated steel wire for strength. I use split rings, not jump rings because these cannot easily be pulled apart, with oval type trigger catches. The ends of the wire are secured by a silver or gold plated crimp beads. I use semi precious stone, crystal, shell, wood, silver lined glass beads, gold/silver plated crimp beads, coloured and clear glass beads, also Tibetan silver charms and spacers. I focus on working in an atmosphere of love and creativity, and each item varies. I make the material pouches myself which have draw cords to close them as I believe this is much nicer than bought in cardboard boxes.

Every item is made by myself, but I do buy the beads ready prepared. I do not buy in anything made by anyone else, this is very important as I want only strong positive energy lovingly incorporated into each piece. I am happy to make to order, just let me know what is required and I will work with that or I can offer something suitable from my range. The necklaces are 18” – 22”, bracelets 8”, anklets 10”. Anything smaller or larger is easy to accommodate, just ask for a quote for longer items.

These pieces can be worn by males as well as females, some are very delicately coloured and others are more masculine, the choice is yours, wear whatever you are drawn to. I chose the basic design for the necklaces, bracelets and anklets for many reasons including:- The stones, beads etc can touch the skin, lie close to the heart chakra and pass over the cerebral cortex on the back of the neck, which is the home of the nervous system, or the wrist and ankle. They are easy to wear and not too heavy. They take the form of a circle which represents the cycle of life, no beginning, no end, but a continuous cycle. Like a ‘daisy chain’ with each stone or bead carrying its own charge.

If the metal catches need straightening just hold the beads, shake them gently and they will straighten up. Any queries or problems please contact me. Just in case you were curious, my family name is Diamond and was the name given to me at birth, but it does go very nicely with this work doesn’t it?
