Chakra is Sanskrit for 'wheel'.  The colours are in the same order as the rainbow.  The root chakra spins the slowest, the crown the fastest. 

Root/Base                    Red – black (secondary).

                                    Base of spine.

Area affected                 Adrenals; kidneys; spinal column; colon; legs;

                                    Bones

 

Navel                           Orange                                     

(Sacral plexus)            Lower abdomen to navel

Areas affected               Ovaries; testicles; prostate; genitals; spleen;

                                    Womb; bladder;

 

Solar Plexus                Yellow

                                    Above the navel, below the chest.

Areas affected               Pancreas; adrenals; stomach; liver; gall bladder; nervous system; muscles

 

Heart                            Green – pink (secondary)

                                    Centre of the chest

Areas affected               Heart; circulatory system; arms; hands; lungs

 

Thymus                        Turquoise

                                    Between the heart and throat

Area affected                 Thymus gland

Brow                            Indigo – dark blue (secondary)

(3rd Eye)                        Between the eyebrows

Areas affected               Pineal gland; cerebral cortex;

            central nervous system; right eye

 

It is interesting to observe which areas or organs are giving a problem, then checking out which colour that they relate to.  Use the colour indicated, and check out how and if it helps.
